Grow Towers
The Fin2Food Greenhouse contains 10 grow towers. Each tower has 36 cups for plants. This gives you a total of 360 growing cups. Cups contain growing sponge in which you can place your starts or seeds. Nutrient rich water is circulated through the tower and fully saturates the sponges. This ensures that each plant receives the water it needs. Excess water drains into the grow beds below.
Grow towers are suitable for plants with smaller root systems like greens and strawberries. Grow towers are removable for easy cleaning and exchanging plants.
Grow Media
Our grow media is lava rock. Lava is very porous and has a neutral Ph. It provides good drainage and aeration to the system. It also supports the body of the plants. Like soil, it protects and ensures that plant roots are established in the correct position.
Grow Beds
Our greenhouse is equipped with two 23”x 83” grow beds which are located beneath the grow towers. The grow beds are the containers for the water, grow media, and plants. Each grow bed holds 115 gallons of water and is filled with over 12 inches of porous grow media.
Beneath the media, the beds each have 6 vortex oxygenators which keep the water full of oxygen. This allows the plant roots and earthworms to remain immersed in water without rotting or drowning.
The grow beds support anything you can grow in regular garden soil. Because of the many nutrients in the water, there is no competition between the plants, allowing for intensive plant spacing.
This means you can grow a LOT of plants in a small space.
Fish Tank
The Fin2Food fish tank holds 300 gallons of water. It can be stocked with 25-30 fish or up to a total of 31 lbs. Our unique vortex oxygenator provides ample oxygen for the fish with minimal energy usage. Our tank also features an integrated water heater to keep the water at a consistent temperature, which can be set by the user according to the type of fish being grown. The tank also features sensors to monitor oxygen levels, PH levels, and electrical conductivity (hardness) of the water.
Automatic Fish Feeder
The Automatic Fish Feeder can be calibrated for up to 8 different sizes of fish food and can be set with the automatic scheduler to feed fish. The system can also be set to send alerts letting you know the fish have been fed.
Bio Filter Tanks
The nutrient rich water circulates through three Bio Tanks before being dispensed to the plants. They each have a biofilter mat which supplies an abundance of surface area for the nitrifying bacteria to colonize. The tank monitors water levels and automatically adds water to the system as needed.
Cyclone Filter
Our centrifuge filtering system spins the water in a cyclone causing the solids to separate from the water and be stored for composting in our bio tower.

Our Bio Tower is a moving bed bio filter, it features our vortex oxygenator which keeps the solid nutrients constantly moving and full of oxygen for fast, efficient breakdown of the concentrated raw nutrients into a plant friendly form to be dispensed into the system as needed.
